The Delhi Walk Festival is an annual festival of celebrating & exploring Delhi on foot. It is the only festival of it's kind in India which brings together over 50 different walk specialists (organizations, academicians and seasoned walker leaders) to conduct walking tours through different neighbourhoods in the city. Some of these local walk experts include: Sadia Dehlvi, Sohail Hashmi, Manoj Misra, INTACH, Delhi Heritage Walks, Delhi Walks, Flow India, Delhi Food Walks, Delhi by foot, Delhi Karavan, Salaam Balak Trust amongst others.
The festival exclusively brings together special walks led by celebrities. In 2016 some walks were led by Author William Dalrymple, NDTV Journalist Ravish Kumar, Environmentalist Pradip Krishen, Stand-up Comedian Gursimran Khamba (AIB), Author Sam Miller, LGBTQ activist Gautam Bhan and Artist Asim Waqif.
The Delhi Walk Festival travels through the city covering known and unknown neighbourhoods. The walks are based on themes: Food, Heritage, Art, Culture & Music, Design & Architecture, Nature, Alternative/experimental walks. It was launched in February 2016 and on public demand we organized a second edition in November 2016.
